Amy Fritz, LCPC, LPC is licensed in both Pennsylvania and Maryland as a Professional Counselor and has been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. In 2014, she obtained her M.S. in Counseling Psychology at Frostburg State University. From there, she worked at Western Maryland UPMC in the Emergency Department, Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, and outpatient substance use/mental health department. She then transitioned to a Community Mental Health Clinic where she provided outpatient mental health and co-occurring substance use treatment and provided supervision to a team of therapists. In 2022, she made the decision to go into private practice and opened Positive Growth Solutions, LLC.
At the heart of Amy’s clinical approach is a strong emphasis on establishing trust and building a therapeutic relationship. Amy uses an eclectic approach to therapy and personalizes treatment based on her client’s individual needs. Some of the techniques utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) also known as “Tapping”, Behavioral Therapy, Psycho Education, and Hypnotherapy.
